Highly recommend! Riding electric bikes on the beach was our favorite part of our entire trip. SO much fun! The bikes rode really smooth on the sand, the owner sent us with locks so we we were able to lock up the bikes when needed and he gave us his phone number incase we had any problems (we didn’t). He was very nice and the prices were very reasonable! It’s a great place to ride. The owner recommended we ride over the bridge to Sullivan’s Island, so we did and it was awesome! We loved getting to ride on both Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island!!

We had a great experience at E Bike!!
The young man running the shop was very knowledgeable and friendly, he gave us great advice when renting 6 e bikes for our family.
We had a great time riding a short distance to Sullivan Island and cruising through the neighborhood beach homes, the downtown shops, and riding on the beach. We had such a fun time!!
He gave us his number in case we ran into any issues, which we did.
They came to help us out with a bike lock situation within 7 minutes.
We really appreciated that they take care of their customers!

On our trip to Charleston we decided to spend one of our days visiting the beach. Renting e-bikes was a great way to explore the island. They showed us the best routes to go. We saw many beautiful streets with nice houses and trees. Then we went across to Sullivan’s Island where we rode the entire length on the beach. That was an experience that we won’t forget! My wife got a blowout and they were there in under 10 minutes swapping the bike out. We had great service and all had smiles on our faces twisting those throttles!

I had such an amazing experience with, IOPBIKE e-bike rentals. The booking process was quick and easy, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The owner was super helpful and personable, he even stayed open late so we could rent them for a sunset ride on the beach! He also let us keep them over night to ride at sunrise the next morning! Very chill and laid back, would definitely return! The e-bike was also in excellent condition, well-maintained, and very comfortable to ride. The electrical assist worked perfect, and made it effortless to pedal if that’s the route you wanna go! Exploring the island with the e-bike was a breeze, and may I add extremely fun! Highly recommend this service for an enjoyable and hassle-free ride!

We rented 4 electric bikes for the day at Isle of Palms during the busy 4th of July weekend. We had such a wonderful time seeing the whole area. The bikes have a lot of pep so we suggest you wait to utilize the throttle and get used to the pedal assist once you've gotten into some of the less congested areas/neighborhoods. None in our party had ever ridden an electric bike before but the bikes are very intuitive and it didn't take us long to get a handle on the mechanics. You're not supposed to ride on the sidewalks and are supposed to share the road with the cars...a good reason to try the slower neighborhoods first until you're comfortable. Early during our rental time we had an issue with a battery on a bike and had to pedal back to the shop. The owner generously compensated us for the trouble and got us going again in no time. It's a very laid back and accommodating business. We highly recommend you give it a try while on the Isle of Palms. It was one of our highlights for sure.

Very friendly shop with employees who made sure we saw the best the isle of palm and Sullivan had to offer. Was going to rent for 2hrs but was having so much fun we kept the e-bikes for 5! This was a perfect way to see both islands without the hassle of stop and go pay to park places a vehicle would cause. Will be back when in the area and highly recommend !

We rented 4 e-bikes from IOP Bikes, having no experience on them.

We had an amazing off-season afternoon riding on the streets and beaches (carefully!). The guy who rented to us was helpful, explained everything we needed to know, got us on the bikes safely and quickly.

You can rent an electric bike if you are 16 years old, but your parents have to come with you and sign off.

HOW TO CHARGE AN ELECTRIC BIKE?

If you know how to charge a laptop, you will most likely know how to charge an electric bicycle as well. You will get instructions on how to use it, but also how to charge it.

WHAT IF THE BIKE WAS DAMAGED OR STOLEN?

The person renting the bike is responsible for any theft or damage caused to the bicycle and will be charged for the additional costs.
